Current: Sytematics of Tenthredinoidea is quite in need of a revision. A recent state of the groupings can be seen here. As soon as the systematics have settled a bit, I'll adapt my sites systematics. Historic: Several authors put them in the group Sawflies (Symphyta). But in present classification this group is not to be seen as such. Nearly all species are phytophageous.
